What Makes Our Housekeeping "Christian"?
We serve our churches, our community, and the people in it
A true Christian is a person who has accepted God’s gift of salvation and put their faith in Jesus Christ. This includes accepting Jesus’ death on the cross as payment for our sins and His resurrection as proof of His power over death. -- http://www.allaboutgod.com/what-is-a-christian.htm
"We, as redeemed followers of Jesus, are to live missionally in our world; that is, we are to engage our culture, family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. with the gospel of Jesus in order to see people’s lives transformed to the glory of God."

"Serving our community and one another is one of the ways we seek to glorify God and love people. Therefore, we will seek to be a church that participates in gospel-driven service; that is, community service, as well as service within our own covenant family of faith, which arises out of hearts that have been transformed by God’s love and a desire to see Jesus’ kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven."

We give 10% back to our community
Malachi 3:10— Bring the full 10 percent into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. "Test Me in this way," says the Lord of Hosts. "See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure."
The New Testament nowhere commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system. The New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of income a person should set aside, but only says gifts should be “in keeping with income” (1 Corinthians 16:2). Some in the Christian church have taken the 10 percent figure from the Old Testament tithe and applied it as a “recommended minimum” for Christians in their giving. ***1
